Inspired by the Macrobiotic Creed, Erewhon founders Michio and Aveline Kushi charter the natural foods scene by selling macrobiotic and organic foods out of a 10’ x 20’ stall below street level in Boston back in 1966. Erewhon today is more than a store, it is a community of people who are united by the love for pure products that protect the health of people and the planet.
